Ward Hill Business Park
Park is thriving by evolving for the 21st century

Today,Ward Hill Business Park is thriving as it adapts to the changing nature of the business world.

Ward Hill Business Park was established in 1963 as a way to bring businesses and jobs to Haverhill. The park itself was 204 acres of prime land easily reachable from Routes 125 and 495.

Manufacturing businesses that were the first to put down roots and put people to work are still here. Joining in today are a diverse group of small businesses that help the park to flourish in its fourth decade of existence.

The park is easy to reach from north, south, east and west and is conveniently located on both the east and west sides of the Route 125 connector, off exit 48 of Route 495 north and south.

The future is bright as Ward Hill Business Park is more than 80 percent occupied. It continues to serve as the area’s economic driver, attracting new, cutting edge and growing businesses.

Ward Hill Park Association
June 11, 2009 Meeting

The lunch meeting of the Ward Hill Park Association was held June 11, 2009. Updates were provided to the group in attendance on the favorable response from the City of Haverhill, Traffic & Safety Committee meeting on the Park Association’s proposal for a designated walking path in the park. Representatives from Cabot Corp., Cedars Mediterranean Foods and Alfa Aesar attended, along with Bud, to offer support for the proposal. In the next couple of weeks the City’s DPW Department will survey the proposed route and provide pricing for the paint work. Bud will monitor this effort and update the membership.

The membership was updated regarding the latest from Comcast on installing service to the park. Assuming pricing and City permitting and costs work out the subcontractor will run cable this summer and companies will be able to contact Comcast for service. Bud will keep companies updated.

The group was provided the latest information on the possibility for the Bradford Fire Station to close. As of a conversation with the Mayor’s office on Monday morning June 15, 2009 the station remains open and negotiations for it to remain open indefinitely continue. The Association will continue to monitor this fluid situation and keep the membership informed as to the status of the station and impacts for fire and emergency response time to businesses in the park.

Anyone seeking additional information on these subjects, as well as on the status of the Ward Hill Park Association Web page update, also discussed at this meeting, can contact Bud. Anyone with ideas for marketing vacant space in the park is also urged to contact Bud.

The group decided to meet again this summer if any important need arises for a meeting. The next meeting for the Association will be scheduled for September. The meeting notice will be provided on the Web page. Stay tuned.
